Sending to the GPS device or receiving from the GPS: A click on the left button sends the active items to the connected GPS. A click on the
right button opens a window to choose the device and then transmits all the items into
a new list folder named "Data from the GPS Device ..." in a list with dates as name list. Because this approach in the long term leads to confusion, I do not recommend it.
Selecting a Mouse Pointer
Moving on to the important tools:
ˆ The hand is used to move the map. Left click moves and right click turns the map. ˆ
The magnier is for zooming. Left click enlarges and right click reduces the view. If
you draw a rectangle to the map area, it will maximize on the screen.
ˆ My main interest is for the pointer. With it you can click on a waypoint etc. and a
box with its name and a double arrow pops up. Clicking on the name or arrow opens the
detail window and you can view and edit the properties. Same goes for Routes, Tracks,
Geocaches, BirdsEye and CustomMaps. Figure 0.0.46: Pointer, Speech Bubble
ˆ With the last icon, the ruler, you can measure distances. Clicking on it activates an
arrow with a ruler. With it you can take measurements between clicks. Measurement
results will be indicated in the info bar (bottom left of the window).

BASECAMP IN MAC OS
Mac - My Collection
On the left sidebar are the connected devices and underneath "My Collection". It
contains the elements to nd. They are in lists, which again are found in folders list.
You select a list, or a GPS Device, displays the corresponding items in the bottom
window of the sidebar. The last list in my collection contains the unlisted data. These
items aren't stored in any list.
You can enlarge or reduce the sidebar, when you pass through the dividing line and the
mouse changes it is doable by simply moving to the left or to the right. As well works
with the separation line of the items or that of my collection. By clicking on the small
arrow in front of the folders you can view the subfolders.
To display lists of data you can click on the header of the list of items on the gear symbol
and display data lists Elections. Here you can then select Waypoints, Routes, Tracks,
Geocaches, BirdsEye Satellite images and Garmin Custom Maps.
Mac - The Base Camp Menu
You run with the mouse over the menu and the bar appears. If you click there on the
BaseCamp Menu there are dierent functions.
ˆ Via BaseCamp it displays the current version.
ˆ Settings opens the Basic Settings.
ˆ Buy Garmin products opens the web browser and the Garmin Web site.
ˆ Searching for Updates opens search for updates.
ˆ Services opens the services.
ˆ Settings Menu opens for the specications that are similar in Windows. Only the
settings for Transfer, Search radius, Controls and Advanced are not available in Windows.
ˆ Then there are the possibilities hide or nish.
